Babita Malkani is an Indian fashion designer who has made her mark in the fashion industry both internationally and locally. She comes from a family that was successfully involved in the fashion business, which also influenced the young designer's mind and inspired her to venture into the industry. Back in 1988, Babita set up her first business under the label Whispers at a rented garage in Mumbai. In the year 2006, the designer started her eponymous label Babita M. Her distinctively urban chic collections and creative sense of style has prompted many celebrities and personalities and are regularly seen on the Indian television and Bollywood. The label Babita M currently retails out of Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Dubai, Atlanta, South Africa, New York and Europe.
